Planning permission for the redevelopment of Stag Brewery, a historic former brewery site in Mortlake, south-west London was granted last week. Developed over the last decade, the masterplan will create more than 1,000 new homes and give full public access to this important section of the River Thames for the first time in over 300 years.
Murray Levinson, Senior Partner at Squire & Partners:
“After a ten-year journey, we are delighted that permission for the creation of 1,075 new homes has been granted at Stag Brewery, a 22-acre brownfield site in Mortlake. Our masterplan celebrates and refurbishes the historic assets on the site and provides much needed high quality apartments and houses clustered around a series of new public spaces. New community facilities including a cinema, a school, shops and restaurants will help to create a new heart for Mortlake and reopen this important riverside location for new and existing residents to enjoy.”
