Over 2024, Squire & Partners’ Modelshop team has been working with Brixton Business Improvement District (BID) to repurpose previous Winter Windows designs into a collection of bespoke lamppost lights. The smaller scale versions of past years’ creations have been mounted across Brixton to illuminate the town centre throughout the festive period.
Named Winter Wonder Lights, the display of 48 illuminated shapes is located across several key routes in Brixton, including Brixton High Street, Coldharbour Lane, Acre Lane and Atlantic Road. Overtime, more designs will be added to the collection to grow the piece and spread the joy of light to new corners of Brixton during the winter months.
Produced by specialist lighting company Blachere UK, the lamppost mounted lights have been made using LED lights and coloured casings made from recycled plastic bottles.
