Following a number of creative collaborations - including installations for two consecutive Surface Design Shows - Squire & Partners was invited by natural stone supplier Solid Nature to curate its new Clerkenwell showroom, which launched during Clerkenwell Design Week 2022 (24-26 May).
Following a number of creative collaborations - including installations for two consecutive Surface Design Shows - Squire & Partners was invited by natural stone supplier Solid Nature to curate its new Clerkenwell showroom, which launched during Clerkenwell Design Week 2022 (24-26 May).
Squire & Partners created an installation at 25 Charterhouse Square which engages and encourages visitors to explore the space. Sculptural features such as a white marble chair were chosen to create a dramatic effect upon entering the showroom, whilst a marble ping pong table added an element of fun.
An explorative stone tapestry table, first created for Surface Design Show by Squire & Partners and Solid Nature in collaboration with Stone Federation, featured to demonstrate the myriad applications and finishes of natural stone.
Large marble slabs were arranged to exhibit the beauty of the products that Solid Nature are able to source, and a projector displayed the range of projects and materials the stone specialist has worked with. Two butterfly graphics, created at a human scale using images of marble, were applied as vinyls to the windows, encouraging passers-by to stop and interact with the piece.
Squire & Partners’ interventions were intended to engage all the senses, inviting visitors to walk around and see, touch and play whilst exploring the opportunities of natural stone.
