‘A New London Vernacular?’ – David Birkbeck of Design for Homes includes One Tower Bridge in a pattern of housing design which delivers a new contemporary London Vernacular, which is “not a single architectural style, but recognises that the best housing comes from robust guidelines in planning and regulation, together with a deep understanding of particular architectural and social contexts.”
