Senior partner Tim Gledstone joined Monocle Radio’s latest episode of The Urbanist, which focused on Protecting London’s Past. Tim was joined by client Tyler Goodwin of Seaforth Land to share how they took on an ‘ambitious restoration process’ to give Space House – a ‘piece of London history a brighter outlook’.
Speaking with producer Carlota Rebello, Tim and Tyler discussed the priorities and challenges of bringing this icon of brutalist architecture into the future. They cover transforming the listed 60s structure into a BREEAM Outstanding building, how Seifert and Partners’ bold original concepts were respected and realised, and how Space House can be a blueprint for future projects.
