In May 2015, The Architects’ Journal and Solarlux hosted a debate between façade experts and architects to discuss high-performance glazing specifications.
Chaired by Hattie Hartman, the event – which included Squire and Partners’ director Myles Taylor - was part of a wider debate on how to avoid unexpected costs and problems in the later stages of construction.
The panel’s conclusion was that architects, manufacturers and contractors would benefit from adopting a culture of early-stage collaboration in order to create a more constructive environment for building design, which would minimise difficulties later on.
