An architectural practice is never done. It is a constantly evolving organism that takes many forms and shapes over time. It is in the running of a practice, getting to work with incredibly talented and wonderful people and delivering the next great building where the joy is found. May it never be said we are done.

Since the passing of Michael in May 2023, we have taken the opportunity to examine the structure, leadership, future direction and operational effectiveness of the practice. We have undertaken both internal and external reviews to rigorously test our aspirations. We are now able to start implementing a new plan for the business that will build upon the last 47 years and lead the practice into the future.

In the first of several steps, we are delighted to announce the expansion of the partnership with 7 new partners. These are all people who have worked at Squire & Partners for many years and are a huge part of who we are, what we do and the fantastic projects we have created. By adding them to our Partnership we bring diversity of thought and skills into the top of the business. They will increasingly take control of projects from Henry, Tim and Murray, whilst also leading specific areas of the practice to ensure continued focus and development. Henry, Tim and Murray are in no way stepping back, but will continue to provide strategic design and leadership whilst looking to expand the practice further to a wider global audience.

In addition to this we are reinforcing that we are a partnership, not a company, and are delighted to announce that our Associate Directors are becoming Associate Partners. Along with being the beating heart of the practice they will also take an active role in shaping the practice both internally and externally with the new partners.
