We are very excited to announce the launch of Brixton Street Gallery, an exhibition of ten supersized canvases featuring works by local Brixton artists which draw on the unique culture and heritage of the area. The exhibition is presented on the facades and pavement of the former Bon Marche department store on Ferndale Road, and is one of the headline events for Brixton Design Trail. The eclectic mix of artworks includes the launch of Connect Brixton by the ‘Patron Saints of Print’ Eley Kishimoto, plus painting, graphics, mosaics, photography and murals.

Squire and Partners devised and curated the exhibition as they are currently refurbishing the building as their new creative studio and offices, the Street Gallery showcases the creative talents of people living and working in Brixton, and provides a free exhibition for the local community.

The Brixton Street Gallery will be on display from Friday 18 to Sunday 27 September, as part of a series of events and installations for Brixton Design Trail and the London Design Festival.
