As part of the London Festival of Architecture, Squire and Partners held a free public street party outside their offices along Wicklow Street on 1 July 2010. The event celebrated London architecture in the spirit of LFA’s “Love your Street” theme, bringing together local businesses and inhabitants to enjoy the recent and ongoing redevelopment of Wicklow Street and the King’s Cross area.

Urban Golf took part in the “main event” with an architect-designed putting green installed throughout the street for all to enjoy and local artist Anna Garforth created a ‘Love Your Street’ heart-shaped artwork along the railway wall, made from recycled phone books.

Old-fashioned fair games, jugglers, a range of food stalls, live music and a long public “graffiti wall” were all part of the attractions as well as donkey rides for kids. Squire and Partners also opened its gallery for a small exhibition of their work, and gave away copies of their latest book.
