London Festival of Architecture: Giant Doll's House

As part of 2018's London Festival of Architecture, Squire & Partners hosted The Giant Dolls’ House installation, curated by architect Catja de Haas, as a collaborative arts project.

Local schools, community groups and students from the Brixton area created imagined room scenes in empty shoeboxes. These were assembled onto a black canvas backdrop and linked with ropes, ramps and ladders to create a community of the ideas, hopes and dreams of their makers: a Giant Dolls’ House. The installation highlighted the importance of a home and community for all and raised vital funds for Shelter.
