London Design Festival: True Love/Paste

As a part of Brixton Design Trail and London Design Festival, Squire and Partners collaborated with two local artists on exhibitions at The Department Store.

Downstairs hosted Abe Odedina’s 'True Love’, a series of paintings commissioned by Danny Boyle for the South African youth charity Dramatic Need, which were inspired by testimonies from a group of young South Africans who had experienced highly traumatic life events.

In the reception of The Department Store, ceramicist Christopher Riggio presented 'Paste'. Drawing inspiration from The Department Store’s history and revival, RCA graduate Christopher Riggio challenged the traditional decorative form of ceramics with a bespoke site specific installation, demonstrating the modular functionality of his latest work.
