Squire and Partners is creating a public outdoor Street Gallery as part of Brixton Design Trail, featuring a curated series of ten large-scale canvases by local artists including the launch of a bespoke pattern for Brixton by the ‘Patron Saints of Print’ Eley Kishimoto.

The outdoor exhibition will be displayed on the facades of the former Bon Marche department store, currently being refurbished to provide new offices for the practice, and is devised to showcase the creative talents of people living and working in the area and provide a free exhibition for the local community which draws on Brixton’s unique culture and heritage.

The Street Gallery will be on display during London Design Festival from Saturday 19 until Sunday 27 September, as part of a series of events and installations for Brixton Design Trail.

Expect an eclectic combination of artworks including painting, photography, mosaics and murals with contributions from local secondary school Evelyn Grace Academy, The Brixton Pound, Matt Crump, Azarra Amoy, Kaylene Alder, Abe Odedina, Photofusion and Juan is Dead.
