Designs draw on the rich heritage, identity and natural geography of Cornwall, using local materials and an appropriate building vernacular which is planned to have a minimal impact on the natural beauty of the coastline. As well as introducing new buildings and uses, the development includes the construction of improved sea defences, new coastal footpaths and the creation of a nature reserve providing wildlife habitats for native species of plants, birds and animals.
