Squire & Partners' architecture and interior design teams are working together on the refurbishment of a historic 1930s villa on Nassau in the Bahamas.
The residence is being reimagined and upgraded to render it suitable for hosting gatherings and private events. In addition to revisiting existing spaces, the addition of new amenities will elevate the villa to complement and enhance the accommodation offering. This offering will include a gym, spa, cinema room and wine cellar.

Concept
While the architecture can be categorised as Mediterranean Revival, the existing interiors feature English Edwardian characteristics. The client wished to preserve as many of these original elements as possible, whilst creating a cohesive and balanced aesthetic. Richly layered materials and ornamental details have been embraced to create an expressive and memorable environment.
