A team from Squire & Partners donated a series of bespoke framed artworks to decorate sixteen furnished apartments at 80 Charlotte Street, made available by Derwent London for University College Hospital workers during the COVID-19 pandemic for the remainder of 2020.
“We believe that good art complements a building and helps create a home. We very much appreciated the contribution of Squire & Partners and others to decorate the flats being used by NHS. We are delighted that together with our creative partners we can support the hospital staff who have inspired us all.”
Baroness Julia Neuberger DBE, Chair of UCLH:
“We are so grateful to Derwent for these apartments for staff at what has been a very tough time at UCLH. This will transform the lives of staff who need to be near the hospital. This could not have come at a better time. Thank you, on behalf of us all.”
Twelve original artworks were created by architects (including Partners Michael Squire and Tim Gledstone), illustrators and modelmakers from the practice, encompassing a variety of mediums from digital landscapes to meticulous hand drawings.
Squire & Partners’ donations form part of a collection of over 50 pieces, following a request from Derwent London to their creative network.
