Originally a 1950s office building, this refurbishment included the design of the clients’ own office as well as the refitting of the reception area and lifts.

The aim was to create a strong and distinct identity for the building, reflecting Derwent London’s reputation for quality contemporary design. The refurbished reception area was a key element in the scheme: the desk is faced with a single piece of white veined marble, framed by the curved leather wall behind which was developed in collaboration with designer Bill Amberg and reflects the tailoring traditions of Savile Row.

The facade was brought out to the original building line with large glazing panels wrapping around the corner and allowing the whole area to be clearly seen from the pavement. The simple entrance canopy is set with fibre optic lighting.
