The office project at Bouverie Street represents a highly contextual, but entirely modern, approach to a tightly constrained site located within the Fleet Street Conservation Area.
The office project at Bouverie Street represents a highly contextual, but entirely modern, approach to a tightly constrained site located within the Fleet Street Conservation Area.
The seven storey building maximises the potential of the site to create highly efficient modern office space. The brief was driven by the need to secure flexible, open floor plates with generous natural light. Two set back top floors provide an attractive roof terrace with excellent views over the City.
External facades of the building are informed by the context of the surrounding streets – Portland stone panels are used on the frontage to Bouverie Street, while on the other street elevations the frame is infilled with stack bonded, aluminium-framed brick panels. The street corner is emphasised by a circular bay, fully glazed, as an elegant addition to a very varied street scene.
