Squire & Partners has completed the sustainable refurbishment of 60 Sloane Avenue. Designs carefully preserve the existing building’s historical integrity, whilst creating a revitalised and desirable workspace offering in the heart of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Originally Harrods’ car showroom, the building’s terracotta façade has been cleaned and restored to its original grandeur. The formerly underwhelming reception has been extended and enhanced with the addition of black metal feature stair and complementary bespoke reception desk. Timber joinery, artwork and biophilic design including a bonsai tree and green wall offer a domestic and inviting feel, resulting in the creation of an attractive arrival sequence.
A central atrium floods the building with natural light. Four floors of refreshed CAT A workspace with enhanced floor to ceiling heights offer maximum flexible workspace, whilst spa style end of journey facilities located in the basement replace a former car park and encourage sustainable commutes.
