Squire & Partners has completed the comprehensive refurbishment of 6-8 Greencoat Place, a six-storey former Victorian warehouse totalling 32,400 sq ft. After a previous intervention to renovate the project two decades ago, Squire & Partners returned to Greencoat Place to improve efficiency and revive the building, revealing and celebrating the layers of its history.
A former Army and Navy preserved foods and meat & fish food hall, the building has been remodelled to provide warehouse-style office space and amenities that correspond to modern ways of working. Fora – one of the UK’s leading premium flexible workspace providers – signed a 15 year lease and opened their doors to tenants in 2022.
Located in the heart of Victoria, the building is part of a larger campus of late Victorian properties owned by Derwent London. Squire & Partners has been working with Derwent London since 1998 to reimagine the cluster – which totals 287,000 sq ft and includes Greencoat House, Gordon House and Francis House – to create a vibrant business quarter in one of London’s best-connected transport hubs.
