Squire and Partners were approached to refurbish this Grade II listed office building situated in the Mayfair Conservation Area, designed by Erno Goldfinger in the mid 1950′s. The original scheme employed the ‘golden section’ to control the design, and has characteristic cantilevered bay windows.

The aim was to provide a scheme which was complementary to the original aspirations for the building, including reinstating original materials, features and fittings which were lost in an early 1980′s refurbishment, whilst improving the quality of the working spaces for future tenants.

The existing facade was cleaned and repaired, and original fittings were restored wherever possible. A palette of materials was established which was faithful to the original scheme, with travertine flooring, timber panelling, red coloured walls and a refurbished staircase and balustrade. Existing services were relocated to a new enclosure on the roof, freeing up space to create a new first floor terrace area.
