This office building occupies a prominent site on Hyde Park Corner and was completed in 1963. It is a dignified, if austere, structure, clad in smooth Portland stone. Its qualities had been obscured by multiple occupation and alterations – the building lacked the prestige and presence which its location demanded.

The initial brief was to improve the entrance and common areas. The new entrance hall has been extended to the line of the main façade, with minimally detailed glazing set within a bronze frame. Limestone paving extends through the glazing to link the interior and exterior of the building. Lighting has been dramatically upgraded, so that the reception area, with its crisp white walls and richly textured elm panelling, is a beacon by night.
Since the completion of this phase of works in 1998, Squire and Partners has completed a new sixth floor penthouse and carried out a number of fit-outs for tenants within the building.
