The two floors are visually linked by the double height space in the lightwell, and physically linked via a glass and stainless steel feature staircase, with the area at first floor level used for informal meetings in the office. Generous amounts of natural daylight are provided by a new rooflight running the full length of the space.
The fit-out included the design of two meeting rooms with feature glazed panels comprising a material interlaid into glass, with a stainless steel and chestnut leather reveal. The glass walls to these rooms allowed natural light into circulation spaces, but still provided the client with the privacy they required for their meetings. A pale oak timber was used for the joinery and storage units in the main office space and desks to the cellular offices.
