Vogan's Mill is an early example of how the practice explored the industrial heritage of warehouses and grain silos in creating residential accommodation.
Completed in 1989, Vogans Mill for Rosehaugh Copartnership Developments Ltd involved the redevelopment of an existing grain silo and listed warehouses to provide 65 luxury flats, four commercial units and car parking at ground floor level.
The scheme received a Civic Trust Commendation in 1990 and is located within St Saviour’s Dock conservation area, which received an RTPI planning achievement award for 1991.

The grain silo was reconstructed as a new 17-storey tower, accommodating one flat per floor and a three-storey penthouse with magnificent views across the River Thames and the City of London.
The tower is a landmark building in this area of London and has been featured in a number of films and television commercials, with the penthouse flat exchanging hands at record values for the area at the time.
A new link block with balconies spanning between the existing warehouses facing the dock, reinforces the form of the original listed buildings.
