The design and material palette create a contemporary development which references the characteristics of adjacent Victorian mansion blocks. A palette of light buff-coloured brick and a series of horizontal concrete bands is animated with inset and projecting balconies, with detailed metalwork adding articulation to the façade.
The distinctive ‘chevron’ rooftop profile of the metal-clad penthouses draws inspiration from the patterns used within the landscape of Henderson’s Nurseries, which were historically located opposite the site. The penthouses steps back from the building line to offer generous terraces and gardens for residents, as well as uninterrupted views over Lord’s cricket ground and the London skyline.
