Squire and Partners’ scheme for the former St John’s Wood Barracks creates an attractive residential community which relates to the unique characteristics and heritage of St John’s Wood. Apartment buildings frame three sides of a new garden square, which acts as a focal point for the development. To the south, a long linear garden provides a landscaped setting for a group of houses.

Apartment buildings frame three sides of a new garden square, which acts as a focal point for the development. To the south, a long linear garden provides a landscaped setting for a group of houses.
A new apartment building is proposed on Queen’s Terrace, providing 59 affordable units in a mix of one and two bedroom apartments. The design of the building makes reference to its neighbours, with a stone base and brick upper levels. The mansard roof is a clad in metal, linking it to the apartment buildings around the garden square.
