A solid stone base at ground level conceals an office, boot room and car parking. The caretakers flat, and a gymnasium and cinema for residents are located at basement level. On the first floor six bedrooms are provided, including an ensuite master with steam room, whilst the second floor – with far reaching views across the valley – contains a generous open plan living area and an semi-external plunge pool.
The façade above ground comprises a series of vertical timber louvres which can be pivoted to adjust views in and out of the building according to the season, including a large moveable screen of timber louvres which runs along the external balcony at second floor.
