A contemporary pitched roof profile blends with the roofscape of the area, whilst set back upper floors with inset windows and timber panels reference the architectural language of nearby Edwardian terraces. Defined horizontal bands and balconies to each house take inspiration from the clean lines of Du Cane Court, a nearby Art Deco apartment building.
Light buff London stock brick grounds the scheme at the lower floors, with added greenery to soften the massing. At first floor, alternating raised parapets are expressed with vertical bricks to add interest, with the upper levels clad in a light coloured metal with inset timber panels.
The development is designed to reactivate the formerly neglected site to improve the local townscape and contribute to the thriving local neighbourhood.
