375 Kensington High Street

Designs for 375 Kensington High Street, a new residential quarter at the junction of Kensington High Street and Warwick Road, were the catalyst for the Warwick Road masterplan designed by Squire and Partners and adopted by Kensington and Chelsea in 2008. The development won ‘Best London Home’ in the Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2014.

530 apartments are housed within six mansion blocks ranging in height up to 12 storeys, and a 17 storey ‘campanile’ tower. A primary school, public linear park, central courtyard garden and restaurant/retail units at pavement level provide amenities for residents.

Elevations display a strong horizontal emphasis characterised by a grid of crisp masonry frames, within which inset balconies, projecting glazed bay windows and solid anodised bronze panels add richness to the façade. Set-back rooftop pavilions break free from the horizontal emphasis, varying in depth and height, and are constructed with more lightweight materials.
