Salvatore Ferragamo Hotel

Singapore

The brief for this project was to provide a landmark hotel, residential and retail destination on a site located between two thoroughfares in the city centre. Squire and Partners proposed three striking oval tower forms set around an open paved piazza with boutique luxury retail units and restaurants clustered around the hotel entrance. A single courtyard provides an intimate central space from which all three towers are accessed.

Hotel accommodation is provided in one of the three towers, which also houses conference, bar, restaurant and spa facilities. The two residential towers are conceived with timber louvres set behind a continuous glazed external skin, whilst the hotel tower is an inverse of the residential towers, with timber louvres outside of the glazing. The form of each tower allows maximum views from all sides, with the location of living areas designed to enjoy 180 degree panoramic views over Singapore.
