The architectural language was developed by experimenting with the form of the ‘kozolec’, a traditional alpine haystack. By offsetting the plans of two kozolec’s, a technique was developed to place long, linear buildings on this historic and irregular site. Because each pair of buildings responds to the unique shape of each plot, the entire profile of every building is unique.

Analysis of the medieval old town informed the streetscape design, with paved paths and sitting areas with stone benches. A public square surrounded by trees gives a central-focus, created by faceted surfaces sloping inward.
