Bayswater HotelImages1 / Information
Location London W2
Status Planning consent 2008
Consented by Westminster City Council in 2008, this hotel and residential scheme is designed to replace a dilapidated hotel building on a site that has remained vacant for the past 25 years.
The new boutique hotel will comprise 56 studio rooms with high quality restaurant and retail at ground floor, and nine residential apartments. A strong response to the existing site and the local context has informed the design, with a deeply recessed red sandstone façade opening out to a fully glazed corner element. The new development regenerates a run-down part of Bayswater and maximises its location with far reaching views across Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park.
