Squire and Partners achieved consent in 2010 for a residential masterplan bordered by the Grand Union Canal to the North and Ealing Road to the west in Alperton, north-west London. The proposed scheme consists of seven blocks, incorporating 441 private and affordable apartments, along with over 16,000sqft of flexible commercial space on the ground floor.
Designs aim to contribute to the character of the location, being informed by the canal and its users. The masterplan includes gardens and green roofs, as well as several easily accessible landscaped areas, which open out between the slender shaped buildings along the canal edge, creating a series of amenity spaces.
