Description
Squire and Partners’ designs for Alburouj Park create a new cultural and business community between two important local landmarks: the Cultural Hub and Al Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
Thirteen office buildings frame a series of animated public spaces, which establish physical and visual connections between the Mosque and Cultural Hub. Designs take their cue from local culture, the natural landscape, craftsmanship and layering to create a family of buildings with three distinct elevation types.
A hierarchy of public spaces runs along the main axis, culminating in a central public piazza animated with water features, planting and sheltered outdoor seating.
The project was featured at the 2017 Cityscape exhibition in Cairo.
