Location Westminster, London
Status Completed 2011
Description
100 Wigmore Street is a mixed use development which comprised the refurbishment of an existing Edwardian building providing high quality retail on ground and basement floors, with offices on first to fifth floors. The existing facade at first to fourth floors on Wigmore Street was restored, whilst a new ground floor shopfront and fifth floor mansard were added to maximise space and tie the building together. Internally the office was fitted out to Grade A standards with a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating to offer sustainable high quality accommodation.
To the rear on Duke’s Mews, we designed a series of contemporary five-storey mews houses set along the south side of the cobbled street. Using natural stone for the facades, punctuated by generous timber framed windows, the houses feature full height wooden shutters which open onto balconies at the rear.
